Amy O’Hanlon wins Newry Lions Youth Award

Newry Lions Prize winner

Congratulations to Amy O’Hanlon for winning the Newry Lions Youth Award.
This scheme which is organised locally and nationally is designed to recognise and reward young people who are actively engaged in volunteering and community work in their own area.

Amy was presented with the Newry Youth Award perpetual trophy by Lions President Phelim Convery.

As the winner in Newry, Amy also receives a bursary of £250 to help with the project with which she is involved locally.  In Amy’s case is involved with the Michaela foundation locally.

Amy goes forward to the next stage in December, to be held in Banbridge.  The winner of that goes on to the All Ireland final in Dublin and a chance to win a further very substantial bursary for her favourite project.
