Irish Dancing success for St Paul’s students!

Principal, Mr Jarlath Burns took time out this week to catch up with St Paul’s High School’s recent Irish Dancing Champions.

Year 14 student, Aine Malone was again crowned Under 18 Ladies An Comhdháil World Champion at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, while Year 12 student Gareth O’Connor danced his way to victory in the Under 16 Boys section to become the An Coimisiun le Rincí Gaelacha World Champion for the first time at the City West Hotel, Dublin.

Gareth was joined by Year 14 student Thomas Armstrong in the Senior Mixed Ceili, narrowly beaten into second place.

Thomas and Gareth train with Scoil Rince Mona Ni Rodaigh in Dundalk/Crossmaglen and Aine trains with the O’Malley School of Irish Dancing, Newry.
