Mac Rory Quarter Final set to be a local derby

Jamie Cosgrove from St Paul’s, meets Aaron Beattie from Abbey CBGS Newry, Chairman of Ulster Colleges, Seamus Meehan, and representative from Danske Bank, Danny Stinton, after the draw was made for the Danske Bank Ulster Colleges Mac Rory Cup Quarter Final.

St Paul’s are set to play their local rivals Abbey Christian Brothers’ Grammar School, Newry, early in the new year, in the Danske Bank Ulster Colleges Mac Rory Cup, after the draw for the quarter finals of the competition was made recently in Belfast.

Chairman of the Ulster Colleges, Seamus Meehan made the draw alongside representative from Danske Bank, Danny Stinton.

No date or venue has been confirmed for the match as of yet. Keep an eye on our school Facebook and twitter page to find out when the match will be taking place.

Wonderful draw giving a local derby. two fine teams going head to head. May the best team win and make sure it is St Paul’s.

Great to see st pauls in the quarters, lets hope they can hammer the abbey like they did st colmans college Newry in the group stage. Be great come march if St pauls won it and then the Hogan cup. But with St Pauls dreams do come true. Naomh Pol Abu
