Leaving staff and silver jubilarians acknowledged at St Paul’s

Staff at St Paul’s High School acknowledged colleagues who are moving on to new posts, and who have completed twenty five years service in the Bessbook school, at a special Mass celebrated by school chaplain Father Dermot Maloney, and afterwards at a special lunch in Canal Court Hotel.

Principal of St Paul’s, Mr Jarlath Burns, led tributes to Head of English and Literacy, Mrs Sinéad McKenna, who leaves St Paul’s after eight years service, to take up a new position as Inspector in the Education and Training Inspectorate, and to Mrs Sharon Cowan, Bursar, who is moving on to a new position after six years’ service to the school.

Mr Burns acknowledged staff members Mrs Theresa Magee, Mr Thomas Reidy, Miss Karina Traynor, Mr Patrick Hollywood, Mrs Mary McMahon and Mrs Siobhán O’Hare, who have each completed twenty five years dedicated service to the school and who were presented with momentos from the whole staff.

Mr Burns thanked the staff for their commitment and dedication in the previous year.  He paid tribute to his predecessor, Mr Oliver Mooney, who retired in December 2013, and thanked parents and wider St Paul’s community for their unswerving support to the school.
