Mr McAlinden visits Beirut to experience Shared Education in action

Mr McAlinden from St Paul’s High School travelled from Belfast to Beirut to develop a High-Impact Teacher Network for Curricular Change between practitioners from Northern Ireland and Lebanon.

The project was administered by the Department for the Economy (DfE) as a Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) award. Various workshops were held in schools across Lebanon. Workshops were also held in the Notre Dame University to explore Shared Education and collaboration; in order to address some of the challenges facing schools in Lebanon and Northern Ireland.

As part of the project they’ve committed to bringing the Lebanese counterparts to Northern Ireland with a focus on the different ways in which the curricula has been implemented and how to further support its implementation.
