The end of a very busy and successful academic year at St Paul’s High School was marked with a special ceremony to mark the retirement of two esteemed colleagues from the school’s academic staff. Vice Principal, Mrs Anne Mallon, and Head of Learning Support Centre, Mr Paddy McAvoy received gifts and tributes from staff as they leave the school after a combined 79 years of service to the school.

Mrs Mallon was accompanied to the event by her husband, Hugh, while Mr McAvoy was joined by his wife Margaret. A Mass of Thanksgiving to mark the end of the academic year was celebrated by school Chaplain, V Rev Father Dermot Maloney, and staff gathered for a farewell lunch at the Carrickdale Hotel, Carricknarnon.
