A Level success rewarded at Senior Prizegiving

At a special ceremony to honour the successes of the Post 16 class of 2014, Principal of St Paul’s High School, Mr Jarlath Burns, welcomed a large crowd of recent past pupils, their parents and families and staff of the school.  Mr Burns expressed a particular welcome to members of the Board of Governors who were in attendance, former Year Head of Year 14, Mrs Pauline McGuinness, and Guest Speaker, past pupil, Miss Colleen Mallon.

Mr Burns congratulated the Year 14 class of 2014 as being the most successful A Level group ever in the history of the school.  He paid tribute to their hard work, detemination and commitment and thanked their parents for their invaluable support.

Miss Mallon spoke of her fond memories as a past pupil of St Paul’s, and recalled how she learned the attributes of commitment and determination during her years at the school.  Miss Mallon gave a detailed account of her recent heroic swim across the North Channel.

Photos from the event are below, as well as a video of Mr Burns’ address to parents and students, and Colleen Mallon’s speech.

It was my pleasure to be a part of such a relaxed yet memorable night. They simply were a lovely group of students, I wish them well for the years ahead.
