Christmas Hamper Appeal for St Vincent de Paul

IMG_6268Pictured Mrs Kathy Branagan, Mr Mooney and Miss Grace O’Neill along with students and representatives from St Vincent de Paul.

The students and staff of St Paul’s have once again dug deep and reached out this year togive the gift of a brighter Christmas by supporting the St Vincent de Paul Giving Tree Campaign and Hamper Appeal.

Pupils and staff participated by donating food and new gifts for underprivileged families, children and adults within our local communities.

In addition to our SVP appeal, we had two Year 9 pupils, Aoibheann Murphy and Cliodhna Tierney (0991) who took part in a sponsored run and used the money to buy presents from the schools SVP giving tree.

The girls did this as part of their ‘Single Act of Kindness for Christmas’ in conjunction with their form teacher Mrs Caroline Hughes.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul guarantees that these food hampers and gifts will be delivered to those who need them most before Christmas, bringing the joy of the festive season to homes that would otherwise be without this Christmas.

A massive thank you to all the pupils and staff of St Paul’s who have helped spread Christmas cheer and excitement through your kind and very generous donations.
