Have you always wanted to be a journalist, reporter, video editor or TV engineer? Well now you have the chance to take part in the BBC News School Report. Just pick up an application form from Mrs Morgan, Librarian to start the process. You will learn new skills and get an insight into what it takes to have a career in television, radio and online media.

We are taking part in the BBC News School Report this year for the first time!

BBC News School Report gives 11-16 year-old students the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience.

Using lesson plans and materials from the school report website and with support from BBC staff and partners, teachers help students develop their journalistic skills to become School Reporters.

In March, schools take part in an Annual News Day, simultaneously creating video, audio and text-based news reports, and publishing them on a school website, to which the BBC aims to link.

Our first report covered the Annual Ryan Cinnamond Blood Drive and it will appear on the school website very soon! Mr Hughes will be leading the technical side of things alongside Mr Moan and Mrs Morgan will be liaising with the BBC Team and organising the BBC Bus Event to be held on Tuesday 26th January.

To become one of our Reporters you need to collect an application form from the library and write a news story up to 500 words about an event or news item in school or in your local community. The deadline for all news reports is Friday 20th November at 4pm.
