International Leadership and Management – Young Leaders Awards Night

Community Restorative Justice’s, Digging Deeper Project provided a Young Leaders Award as part of the areas ongoing Shared Education Programme. 

An awards night was held in St. Pauls High School to celebrate the achievement of the 18 young people who successfully completed the prestigious International Leadership and Management – Young Leaders Programme, designed and delivered by Roisin Kelly of VAK Consultancy.

Project Coordinator Fiona Harte praised the dedication and commitment of these great students who are a credit to the four schools involved; St. Pauls High School, Newtownhamilton High School, St. Joseph’s High School and Newry High School.

Ms Harte went on to thank all those who saw the benefit of and supported this initiative.  She said “the shared education no doubt promotes good relations and inclusivity between neighbouring communities”. 

Rosin Mulgrew, chair of Newry, Morune and Down Council commended all the young people for taking part in this innovative programme, stating “no doubt our future is safe in the hands of these very capable young people”.  Roisin also thanked Community Restorative Justice and The International Fund for Ireland for the foresight in developing this type of unique project which encourages collaborative participation throughout Newry and South Armagh.
