Every November St Paul’s High School organises a series of talks for Year 14 students as part of their spiritual retreat.

The programme opened on 12 November with Mr Seamus McCabe addressing the students about the work of PIPS.  PIPS Newry and Mourne is an independent organisation formed in 2003 by people who had experience of suicide in their family. PIPS works with communities to support and address a range of issues within suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.

Mr McCabe spoke to the students about good mental health and the twelvesteps to achieving and maintaining good mental health. Following his talk, Mr McCabe gave the students an opportunity to ask questions.
