The Religion Department organised an Easter draw in March with all proceeds going to Trocaire’s Lenten campaign. Over the three days, a total of £300 was raised.

This was a result of an earlier visit by Trocaire who spoke to our current Year 11 group about the work of Trocaire abroad. Religion teacher Mrs Graham has also organised workshops which involved the pupils involved in John Paul II. The workshops proved to be very successful and raised awareness of Trocaire’s campaigns especially in this ‘Holy Year of Mercy‘.

Mrs Bernadette Campbell received the final cheque from pupils and staff from the Religion Department. It is hoped that this will be an annual fundraiser to support all the great work being done to alleviate world poverty and to raise awareness of social justice issues.
