Year 12 Learing for Life & Work students recently attended the Victims of Conflict Conference in the Market Place Theatre, Armagh.

Students were given the opportunity to meet a very wide and diverse group of people who had in one way or the other been involved in the conflict. These included Alan Bracknell whose father was killed in a bomb in Donnelly’s bar in Silverbridge in 1974, and Lee Lavis, an ex-member of the British Army who was stationed in Crossmaglen and Bessbrook.

In the afternoon, Jo Berry whose father was killed in the Brighton Bomb spoke to the group along with Pat Magee who was found guilty of planting the bomb. They discussed their Forgiveness Project which they have been working on for the last 14 years.
